As you can see Avery has a bit of catching up to do. Kate is taller and fuller and a whole clothing size bigger.
Avery was tired so I put her in Kate's swing. She was asleep within 2 minutes and slept for 45 minutes! This is a small miracle for us. Avery doesn't like her swing which is a more traditional kind of swing. Kate's is a cradle swing which moves side to side as well as front to back, and it also allows the baby to lay down more instead of being in a sitting position. And it had a mirror to look into - Avery loves mirrors. So guess who's shopping for a new swing...
Yesterday was a busy day. We also went to the hospital to see my friend Heather's new baby, Max. He was born Tuesday, exactly 8 weeks after Avery. He was 8 pounds, 8 ounces and 21.5 inches long. Max is a cutie with a head full of dark hair. I have a hard time determining who babies look like (they just look like babies to me), but I'm guessing he'll look like his dad, Travis. We'll be seeing more of them soon.
Finally, for those of you keeping track, I FINALLY had a Boulevard Wheat on Monday in celebration of my friend Kate moving back from Texas. It was even better than I remembered!

What cute pictures - won't they be sweet when they start looking at each other & giggling.
Evie has a Fisher Price Nature's Tough Papasan swing that Avery could use if she'd like. Evie has obviously WAY outgrown it by now, and it's just sitting in our house taking up space. So if you want to spare yourself the $150 you're welcome to borrow it! Evie LOVED it and took many naps in it, thank goodness. :) It was a Godsend for us. By the way, she is soooo cute! We have to have a play-date sometime soon!
Oops, Nature's Touch would be the right name of the swing!
