More Sonogram Pics

I promised I'd post some more pictures from our last sonogram since they didn't make the rounds to everyone.

Not a whole lot to report this week. I'm loving oranges these days and ate FOUR yesterday. Also I ordered the crib bedding and wall border which should arrive in a few days. We're going to use that to pick out paint colors for the nursery which is currently the office/scrapbooking room. Jared's already started cleaning it, and Sarah (Jared's sister) is going to help paint since I can't do it.

Cousins

We are really excited that Baby Laha is going to have not one but TWO cousins the same age as her. My sister had a baby, our adorable nephew/godson Evan, in September. They will be about 7 months apart in age. And Jared's sister Randee is due in June so they will just be a month or two apart. We just found out that Randee is also having a boy. It will be fun to have a boy and a girl on both sides of the family. It has been so long since we've had babies in the family so I'm really looking forward to holidays and family get-togethers.

It has been so much fun watching Evan grow. He is such a good baby and spends most of his time eating, sleeping, and smiling away. He's only 4 months old and practically standing on his own (see picture below). He will be walking in no time!

Cravings

The second question I get asked a lot is if I'm having weird cravings. There have been no really strange cravings, but sometimes I'll be hit with a sudden rush of wanting something specific. These are some of my favorite pregnancy foods:
  • Pineapple orange juice
  • Baked potatoes
  • Peanut Butter Cap'n Crunch (this is not only breakfast but also a good dinner or dessert)
  • Cheese
  • Mexican and nachos
  • Applesauce
  • Mac and cheese

So if you know me well you might realize these are things I like anyway so maybe being pregnant is just a convenient excuse to overindulge. I haven't been eating a lot of meat and am not into sugary desserts (including ice cream!).

How am I Feeling?

The question I get most often from people is how I'm feeling. Honestly, I feel really great and have had an easy pregnancy so far. Somehow I lucked out and skipped the morning sickness phase. I was suprised at how hungry and tired I got, even at the beginning of my pregnancy, but I decided one should not complain about getting to eat and sleep a little extra. I have had some back problems for the last few years and have been having back pain lately, but I'm seeing a chiropractor and trying to keep that under control. So far at all my doctor appointments both the baby and I appear to be healthy. I hope the good health continues!

Baby is very active these days. She is constantly kicking and moving around. I notice it the most after I eat and in the evening. There is usually less activity in the morning. Does this mean she likes to sleep in????
